My kids love pancakes, so I make them every weekend. What could be simpler - it's just flour, milk, eggs, salt and baking powder, right? Why would anyone in their right mind buy pancake mix?
A friend gave us this pancake mix for Christmas, so I smiled politely and said thank you. Then I gave it a try - and was surprised. The results are significantly lighter, fluffier and tastier than my home-made efforts.
I haven't opened the accompanying syrup yet as I have an open bottle to finish first, but maple syrup is maple syrup ... isn't it?
